Unconditional Basic Income of All for All

UBI-AA is an income redistribution process:

Supportive

Unconditional

Automatic

Emancipator

It is a redistribution process because it promotes income transfers among people.

It is supportive because it transfers income from those with more money to those with less, connecting all persons in a mutual support network for the present and for the future.

It is unconditional because it has no strings attached; that is, it does not oblige anyone to accept job offers or vocational training, to prove incapacity or need, or in general to do anything or give any satisfaction for it.

It is automatic because it works in a fully mechanical and pre-defined way; therefore, it does not enable political or any other interference and cannot be placed at the service of sectarian or circumstantial interests.

It is sustained by and to the benefit of ordinary people because the redistributed money is theirs and to them alone can be directed. UBI-AA does not involve money transfers from people to the State – that is, taxes – nor from the State to the people – that is subsidies or other Social Security supports. It involves only transfers from ordinary people to ordinary people, in a process that belongs to them only, and only benefits them.

UBI-AA can be adopted by any group of people, whether living in the same locality, region or country, or geographically dispersed. This will strengthen them as a community.

The process works in two simple steps, which are repeated in monthly cycles:

1

As it is acquired, each member of the community contributes a proportion of their income to a common fund at a single and universal rate;

2

At the end of each month, the fund’s accumulated total is equally and unconditionally distributed among all members of the same community.

UBI-AA treats everyone equally, demanding the same effort from and offering the same benefit to all its participants.
By putting solidarity to work among peers, it creates an unconditional guarantee of income for all.
